For most brides planning a wedding, one of the very first questions is what bridal makeup and hair will cost — and that makes perfect sense. Pricing helps everything else fall into place, from your overall budget to choosing between artists. Over the past ten years working with South Asian brides across Brampton and the GTA, I've put together this guide so you can plan with clarity and confidence.

This guide is written specifically for South Asian brides because our weddings carry a different rhythm than a one-day celebration. A typical wedding involves several events across multiple days, and that's part of what makes the planning feel both joyful and a little overwhelming.

A helpful note before the numbers: every Yash Makeovers package below is priced as bridal makeup and hair together — they're never charged separately. Some artists in the GTA quote them as two services, so when you compare quotes from different artists, it's worth checking what's bundled in each one.

The Industry Range, and Where Yash Makeovers Fits

Bridal makeup and hair in the GTA typically runs $500-$1,000 per event for the bride. The lower end is usually newer artists with smaller portfolios and entry-level kits. The upper end is established specialists with ten-plus years, luxury-brand kits, and tested longevity techniques.

Yash Makeovers sits in the established-specialist tier. The Bridal package is $750$600 for 2026 & 2027 weddings, with both makeup and hair bundled at one price. The current rate is a limited promotional window — the work, the products, and the timeline are what a $750 package represents.

Prices vary across that range for real reasons. Artist tenure, products used, how long the look needs to hold, how much hair work is involved, and what's included in each package all influence the number. Some GTA artists quote makeup-only and add hair as a separate $150 to $250 line. It's helpful to check what each package covers when comparing two quotes — it makes the comparison much fairer.

The sections below break down what you actually receive at each price point, what makes a package go up or down, and what a full wedding week realistically costs.

Why South Asian Bridal Makeup and Hair Are Priced Differently

A South Asian bride is rarely booking one face for one day. Most brides are planning, at minimum:

  • The Mehndi or Henna night — usually softer and more pastel, often a fresh look that survives a long evening of music
  • The Sangeet — a bigger, more glam look, often with bolder eyes
  • The ceremony — Anand Karaj, Nikkah, or Hindu vidhi, usually traditional and red-toned
  • The reception — often a second look that evolves from the ceremony, softer for the white-dress or evening-attire setting

Four faces. Four hairstyles. Four looks total, spread across two to four days. Each event has its own outfit, jewellery, lighting, and emotional energy. A bride booking Yash Makeovers for the full wedding week is really booking four separate sessions — hair and makeup for each.

That's the math that often surprises brides reading generic pricing guides. Most online guides quote a single number for a single day, which works for a Western one-event wedding but doesn't quite reflect the structure of a South Asian celebration.

The 2026 Brampton Bridal Makeup and Hair Pricing

Here are the current Yash Makeovers package prices for 2026 & 2027 weddings. Every price is the bundled rate for makeup and hair together for one person at one event.

PackageBest forPrice

Bridal

Most popular

Ceremony, Reception, Nikkah, Walima, Baraat$750$600

per person per event

Pre-Bridal

Rokah, Jagoo, Engagement, Mehndi, Sangeet$600$450

per person per event

Full Glam

eShoot, Baby Shower, Sister/Brother Weddings$350

per person per event

Regular Party

Everyday events and celebrations$250

per person per event

Here's how those packages typically map to a South Asian wedding week:

  • Mehndi or Henna night → Pre-Bridal package
  • Sangeet → Pre-Bridal package
  • Ceremony day (Anand Karaj, Nikkah, Hindu vidhi) → Bridal package
  • Reception → Bridal package. The reception look is a full second face and a fresh hairstyle, not a quick touch-up. It needs the same care and timing as the morning ceremony.
  • Bridesmaids and family → Party package, per person per event

A typical Brampton Punjabi bride who books me for Mehndi, Anand Karaj, and Reception is looking at Pre-Bridal plus two Bridal bookings. Across her three events, the total comes to $1,650. Add three bridesmaids for the ceremony day and that's another $750.

That's the realistic range for a Brampton wedding week. If you've been searching "bridal makeup cost Brampton" and seeing a single dollar figure, it's usually just the ceremony rate — which doesn't quite capture the full picture. The honest range for a full wedding is between $1,500 and $5,000 depending on event count and bridal party size, and a short consultation can narrow that to your specific wedding.

What Affects the Price: 5 Real Factors

When comparing quotes from different artists in the GTA, here are five things that genuinely influence the number.

1. The artist's experience level

A newer artist with two years and forty weddings typically charges $250 to $400 for bridal makeup and hair. An established artist with ten years and over a thousand brides usually sits in the $600 to $800 range. A celebrity or destination MUA may charge $1,200 or more. None of these are wrong prices — they reflect what you're investing in.

2. The products used

Drugstore foundation and a Charlotte Tilbury foundation cost different amounts at the wholesale level, and the difference shows up under HD photography. Our studio works exclusively with luxury brands like DIOR, Charlotte Tilbury, Chanel, YSL, Gucci, and Too Faced. The result is skin that holds for sixteen hours under bright ballroom lights and still photographs like skin, not like makeup.

3. Travel fees

I'm based in Brampton. Travelling to a Brampton or Mississauga venue is different from travelling to Scarborough or Markham, so the fee scales accordingly. Our standard travel fees are $75 within Peel Region (Brampton, Mississauga) and $150 for the wider GTA. That's added to the package price, not bundled into it. Most established artists charge similarly. It's always a good question to ask during consultation — it helps avoid surprises later.

4. Bridal party size

The bride's package is one bill. Every bridesmaid, mother of the bride, sister, and mother-in-law adding makeup and hair adds the Party package rate per person per event. A small bridal party of two adds much less to the total than a party of eight. This is often the single biggest variable in a full-wedding-week quote.

5. Number of events

A bride booking only the ceremony day pays the Bridal rate once. A bride booking Mehndi, Sangeet, Ceremony, and Reception is investing in four separate looks. Many online cost guides quote only the ceremony number, which can make the full wedding-week bill feel surprising at first. It isn't that the price has changed — it's simply that four separate events each have their own preparation, products, and timing.

A Real Brampton Wedding-Week Cost Example

To make this concrete, here's a realistic example based on the brides I actually work with.

A Brampton Punjabi bride planning a typical two-day wedding usually books:

  • Mehndi night (Pre-Bridal): $450
  • Anand Karaj ceremony (Bridal): $600
  • Reception same day, full second look (Bridal): $600
  • Trial appointment two months prior: $250
  • Three bridesmaids for the Anand Karaj at $250 each: $750
  • Travel for two days within Peel Region: $150

Total for the bride and party across the full wedding week: around $3,050.

A bride with a four-day wedding, six bridesmaids, and a separate-venue reception would land closer to $5,000. A bride doing only the ceremony day with no bridal party is at the Bridal rate plus travel.

The shape of your wedding influences the bill more than the artist's hourly rate does.

Brampton vs Toronto: Is There a Price Difference?

Yes, modestly. Brampton bridal makeup and hair artists with comparable experience and product quality typically charge ten to twenty percent less than equivalent Toronto downtown artists. The reason is operational. A Brampton studio has lower overhead than a Yonge Street studio, and those savings get passed through to the brides we serve.

Quality doesn't drop with location. Many of the brides we work with in Brampton are the same brides who'd book a Toronto artist if they lived closer. They choose Brampton because of cultural connection and because the math works in their favour without compromising on the look.

For a Toronto bride considering a Brampton-based artist, the main trade-off is the travel fee. $75 within Peel Region (Brampton, Mississauga) and $150 for the wider GTA. Even paying the GTA travel rate, many downtown brides find they're still ahead overall on package savings.

When Should You Book?

Six to twelve months in advance is ideal. For peak season weddings between May and October, twelve months out is the sweet spot. Saturdays fill up first, and Saturdays in July and August fill earliest.

Off-peak weddings (December through March) can sometimes be booked three to six months out. That said, every year a few brides reach out four weeks before their date and discover most established artists are already booked. If you can plan further out — even by a few months — it makes a real difference to your options.

To secure the date, our studio requires a 30% non-refundable deposit by e-transfer. Most established artists work the same way. The deposit is what holds your spot on the calendar.

What Gets Charged Extra

The two extras worth knowing about upfront are travel and early-morning fees.

Travel: $75 within Peel Region (Brampton, Mississauga) and $150 for the wider GTA. The fee is per appointment, not per event. If I'm with you for two events on the same day at the same venue, it's one travel fee.

Early morning: Anand Karaj and Nikkah ceremonies often need an early morning start. If your ready-by time is between 4:30–6:00 AM, there's an additional $100 per person. This covers the earlier setup time and a much earlier wake-up.

That's the full extras list. Our package pricing is otherwise all-in — the number on the package page is the number you pay for the work itself.

Is a Trial Worth It?

For a bride booking the full Bridal package, yes. The trial costs $250 and gives you a full makeup and hair session two to three months before the wedding. We test the foundation tone, the eye direction, the lip colour, the hair styling direction, the longevity, and how the look photographs.

For brides booking Pre-Bridal only or Party only, the trial is optional. The lower-stakes events don't necessarily need the same precision testing.

Another good reason to book a trial: it's a low-stakes way to be sure of an artist's style before committing to the wedding date. If a trial doesn't quite feel right, you can decide not to move forward — no awkwardness. If it goes beautifully, your deposit converts and we lock in the full week together.

How to Know You're Getting Good Value

A few helpful signals when comparing quotes.

A bridal makeup and hair package priced below $400 in the GTA typically means a newer artist, drugstore-tier products, no trial included, or hair charged separately — sometimes a combination. That can be a perfectly reasonable choice for a smaller wedding or a tighter budget, and it's helpful to ask what's specifically included so you know what you're booking.

A bridal package priced above $1,000 generally comes with notable extras: an included trial, full kit travel, sometimes a second touch-up appointment for the reception. At that price point, it's reasonable to ask the artist to walk you through their work and their process — premium pricing should reflect premium artistry.

The established-specialist tier (ten-plus years of experience, luxury-brand kit, both makeup and hair bundled, included trial discussion, clear travel pricing) is where Yash Makeovers sits. The pricing reflects what goes into the work. The current $600 rate on the standard $750 Bridal package is a limited promotional window for 2026 & 2027 weddings.

Three questions worth asking at every consultation:

  1. What products do you use, and could I see them?
  2. Are makeup and hair both included in the bridal package, or is hair charged separately? And what else might cost extra?
  3. How long has your makeup and hair held on a real wedding day, and could I see photos at hour ten and hour fourteen?

An experienced artist will happily answer all three with detail and examples.

Ready to talk numbers?

Every wedding is different. The Mehndi-Sangeet-Ceremony-Reception math is a useful starting point, not a quote. The honest number for your specific wedding depends on event count, bridal party size, venues, and timeline.

The clearest way to get a precise number is a short consultation call. Over 10+ years, our studio has worked with 1,500+ brides across the GTA, and our Google reviews (★ from brides) share what their wedding day actually felt like — from Brampton to Mississauga, Toronto, and Vaughan.

If you'd like to talk through your wedding-week pricing, 2026 & 2027 dates are open. A short call gives you a precise quote before you commit to anything.
